Leidos is seeking a FP&A Analyst to join the Health & Civil Sector at our Global Headquarters in Reston, VA. The selected individual will be a key member of the team in developing financial reports, performing in-depth analysis using Oracle and Microsoft based analytic tools (Enterprise Planning, Business Insights, PowerBI), developing and monitoring budgets, participating in financial status reviews, and other financial support as required. Position reports directly to the Director of FP&A, interfaces regularly with senior analysts, managers, and Executive staff across multiple functional areas.
The ideal candidate would be organized and analytical and someone who has the ability to interact with the transactional, is interested in being a citizen developer for analytic dashboards, is an effective communicator and collaborator, and has an interest in driving enhancements that will allow for operational efficiencies and cost savings. This position provides a great platform for growth and development as it provides visibility across all levels of the company.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Financial reporting to prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual deliverables to assist in close process and ensure compliance with SEC, SOX, and other regulatory reporting requirements
- Assist in the development of the annual operating plan and quarterly forecasts
- Data analytics
- Ad hoc financial reporting (variance analysis, investments analysis)
- Indirect cost reporting and monitoring including transactional research, journal entry processing, Internal Work Order (IWO) set-up
- Prepare briefings for the finance leadership team
- Provide support to internal and external audit inquiries.
- Assist with AOP and Quarterly Financial Status Review meeting execution and preparations.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting field and 2-4 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills.
- Detailed oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
- US citizenship is required and able to obtain security clearance if needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Oracle Enterprise Planning and Oracle Business Intelligence reporting; knowledge of PowerBI or other similar dashboard analytic tools.
- Government contracting industry experience.
