Pay Range: $80,308.80-$96,366.40
Job Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. Their duties include analyzing HR policies and procedures to determine their relevance to company goals or values, meeting with Executives and members of the board to propose changes to policies or hiring needs and communicating with HR professionals to learn more about their HR strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Core responsibilities for the position are as follows:
• Plans strategic HR initiatives, and serves as a consultant providing HR guidance when appropriate on all general HR issues
• Works closely with line management and creates alignment and better understanding the needs of the company.
• Supports the development and delivery of training programs focused on benefits, performance management and professional development; Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
• Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
• Serves as employee advocate to support employee engagement and retention initiatives. Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
• Coaches and advises management on performance and employee relations issues (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
• Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
• Develops contract terms for new hires, promotions, and transfers; Supports field recruiting events and activities
• Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance; Ensures adherence to all state and federal regulations pertaining to employment matters
• Supports the Leave process in conjunction with outside vendor and corporate benefits; assist managers and employees with questions
• Provides HR policy guidance, interpretation and responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures and programs
• Participates in special projects both individually and on cross-functional teams
• Builds strong relationships with managers & employees to enhance workforce performance by supporting employee development

The position of Human Resources Business Partner requires the following:
• Minimum of 8 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues. 5-7 years of experience in an HR supervisory role or functional manager role.
• Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Strong experience with employee relations, strategic staffing, and difficult problem solving
• Preferred SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential or ability to obtain certification within one year of employment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
• Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors.
• Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Effectively executes on plans, drives for results and takes accountability for outcomes and value oriented
• Perseveres and does not give up easily in challenging situations; takes full accountability for achieving desired results
• A team player; acts ethically and maintains a high level of professional integrity
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced environment
• Experience training, presenting in front of groups
