Overview: Leads the financial planning component of Emerald Advisory Services engagements, in conjunction with other subject matter experts. Contributes to analytical projects as designer and initiator. Creates presentations for groups of wealth professionals and delivers those presentations on stage with questions and follow-up.

CFP (Certified Financial Planner)
Exceptional written and verbal communications skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong skills in office applications
Experience rapidly learning new software applications
Strong research skills
Strong analytical skills
Education and Experience Preferred:
LLM (Master's degree in Tax) JD (Juris Doctor) or MBA (Master's degree in Business Administration)
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) certification
AEP (Accredited Estate Planner) and/or CTFA (Certified Trust and Financial Advisor) certification
Minimum of 10 years delivering outstanding financial planning services to high net worth individuals, including estate planning, retirement, asset allocation, cash flow sustainability and life insurance needs

Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsibility for executive summary of reports, peer review and follow-up communications and internal team guidance where necessary.
- Supervise the development of wealth-related presentations that are clear, concise and effectively communicate complex solutions. Demonstrate wealth planning expertise at unannounced meetings and boils down client issues to one or two primary concerns. Understand new regulations and identify which clients will need to take action and/or be advised of options as a result.
- Provide research support for Directors of Planning on technical matters related to wealth, fiduciary and financial planning topics. Suggest areas of analysis based on experience that may be pertinent to a client of the director.
- Maintain direct contact with clients and prospects to deliver the added value of planning; follow-up is essential with clients and their advisors.
- Responsible for determining the presentation topics in subject and timing, requiring subject matter expertise and expectation of client needs.
- Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls in accordance with the Company's Risk Appetite. Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
- Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the M&T Bank brand.
- Maintain M&T internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
