POSITION SUMMARY:

The Conflicts Analyst will support the firm's programs including new business and conflicts intake and lateral hiring. The Conflicts Analyst is responsible for receiving and evaluating the initial conflict check information, performing corporate and online research, and producing conflict reports used to summarize the existence of potential or actual conflicts of interest. The Conflicts Analyst will work closely with more senior Analysts, Conflict Attorneys and Conflicts Counsel on various aspects of the conflicts search process with the goal of seeing the conflict search process through from beginning to end.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate information obtained from partners and practice coordinators through the Intapp Open intake system for accuracy and completeness
  • Research entities using a variety of internal and third-party resources
  • Conduct comprehensive client due diligence and sanction checks on potential new clients and new matters
  • Prepare and conduct conflict searches on the firm's databases
  • Generate new business conflict reports and conflict reports related to lateral hiring to aid more senior Conflict Analysts, Conflict Attorneys and Conflicts Counsel with conflict resolutions
  • Analyze search results in accordance with the appropriate ethical rules and firm policies and ensure that all necessary information is obtained so that an accurate search can be completed
  • Provide excellent customer service to all levels of firm constituents regarding the conflict clearance process
  • Participate in the testing and review of new software systems
  • Assist with department projects and special requests as assigned
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or J.D. with strong academic performance required
  • 2 + years professional work experience preferred
  • Proficiency in in Microsoft Office, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat required
  • Must live within a commutable distance to the local office required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Previous experience with conflicts, compliance, analytical research and/or experience with corporate research resources in an academic, legal, or business environment preferred
  • Proficiency in Intapp products preferred

SALARY L os Angeles based applicants only: The target annual salary range for this role is currently $72,000 - $84,000 based on a regular, full-time schedule. The amount of compensation offered will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to experience, qualifications, market data, and internal equity. Total compensation includes a comprehensive healthcare benefits package, yearly retirement contribution, and may include an annual discretionary merit bonus. We value diversity in the workplace.
