Project Manager (Bank Tech)

As a Manager of Project Management at Capital One, you will drive strategy and execute on high priority projects for the company. You will work with smart and passionate people to deliver results that have a direct impact on the company's bottom line. General Responsibilities:

  1. Leading moderate to large complex projects and programs by providing strategic direction to projects, peers, and direct reports.
  2. Designing, developing, and managing project plans in a complex dynamic environment, revising needs to meet changing requirements.
  3. Ensuring projects are documented appropriately to mitigate risk and to be delivered on time.
  4. Leveraging problem solving and influencing skills to ensure project plans deliver on intent.
  5. Partnering cross-functionally with project customers to provide strategic and tactical thought partnership to effectively drive project delivery.
  6. Building relationships and collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of commitments.
  7. Exhibit outstanding influencing skills to effectively drive project/program efforts.
  8. Demonstrate a proven track record of excellent project management, bringing the ability to quickly put structure in place to manage work in a dynamic complex environment.
  9. Display a passion for coaching and developing a team of associates through their leadership style.
  10. Have excellent communication and partnership skills which are essential for interacting and communicating with key stakeholders at all levels across the company to manage, inform and influence outcomes.

Basic Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree or Military experience.
  2. At least 6 Years of Project Management experience.
  3. At least 2 years of Jira experience.
  4. At least 2 years of Confluence experience.
  5. At least 2 years of Agile experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Masters / MBA degree.
  2. 7+ years of Project Management experience.
  3. 2+ years of Technical Project Management experience.
  4. PMP, Lean, Agile or Six Sigma certification.
  5. Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  6. Strong problem solving and influencing skills.
  7. Work experience achieving results with complex projects.
