**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)
**Job Specialty:** Telemetry
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Night Shift 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM (Every Other Weekend + 4th Shift Per Month)
**Guaranteed Hours:** 34.5 hours per week
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 years in Med Surg/Telemetry and critical care
**License:** State RN License
**Certifications:** BLS, ACLS
**Must-Have:** Experience with EPIC, Telemetry, Ventilator; 1 year travel experience for travel positions preferred
**Job Description:**
- **Patient Care:**
- Deliver patient care utilizing the professional practice model of Relationship-Centered Care.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs using critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop the plan of care.
- Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- **Patient Experience:**
- Establish and maintain a therapeutic relationship with patients and their families.
- Use evidence-based practices to understand patients' perceptions of care.
- Demonstrate caring, respect, and active listening in all interactions.
- **Quality and Safety:**
- Practice safe, patient-centered care, escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement.
- Engage in quality improvement projects, evidence-based practice activities, and nursing research studies.
- Utilize institutional technology to document nursing practice and support performance improvement initiatives.
- **Operations:**
- Perform charge nurse duties as assigned and coordinate resources effectively.
- Demonstrate patient-focused and cost-effective care approaches.
- Facilitate patient throughput during shifts.
- **Professional Development:**
- Support clinical colleagues, patients, and families in the care environment.
- Advance clinical competence and project a professional image.
- Participate in shared decision-making through specialty practice councils and committees.
Education requirements include a Bachelor of Science with a major in nursing preferred. An associate degree in nursing is considered with relevant experience or active matriculation in a BSN program.
Languages: Proficiency in English (Speak, Read, Write)
Preferred skills include average unit census familiarity, therapeutic processes, and high reliability in patient care.
