Job Requirements / Description

Company is seeking a candidate with General Contractor experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing construction projects, including experience with permit acquisition, lien releases, and subcontractor agreements. Familiarity with billing and invoicing for construction projects is also required.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and collaborate with Project Managers through the full lifecycle of construction projects.
  • Manage daily operations for all assigned construction projects.
  • Maintain project documentation both electronically and physically to ensure accurate records.
  • Enter project data into Vista software, including the creation of project numbers.
  • Generate construction subcontracts, issue purchase orders, and review sub-contract terms and conditions.
  • Verify subcontractor documents, including contractor licenses, certificates of insurance, and other qualifying documents.
  • Assist field teams by coordinating with vendors to manage material orders, purchase orders, and delivery schedules.
  • Complete pre-lien documentation and prepare lien releases upon payment.
  • Manage and oversee project-related paperwork, such as permits, safety books, site daily and weekly reports, and final inspections.
  • Effectively handle multiple tasks and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office applications with proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Display a positive attitude, with a focus on collaboration, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry, preferably with a General Contractor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, interpret, and communicate effectively with both office staff and field teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other office applications.
  • Experience with construction management software (Vista or similar systems).
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • A proactive, self-starting work ethic with creativity and resourcefulness in solving problems.
