Summary:You are a talented Software Engineer looking to build the next generation of VR games. You have multiple years of experience with the Unity Editor familiar working with multiplayer engineering design patterns. You love engineering as a service and working on interdisciplinary teams to build robust, modular systems that allow everyone to contribute to the final result. You love working in Unity and pushing it to the limits on the Oculus Quest platform.Required Skills:Sr. Multiplayer Gameplay Engineer - BigBox Responsibilities:Create VR FPS games within a highly dynamic and iterative team environmentDesign, develop, test and maintain quality code and documentationWork as a team, contributing to important design decisions and conversationsDevelop prototypes and experiments, while researching and recommending novel ideas, new tools, and technologiesTest and support the game as a serviceCollaborate with artists and engineers to implement new developments, help build features, and creatively solve complex problemsMinimum Qualifications:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering or equivalent experienceMinimum 7 years of experience in software developmentMust have completed a ship cycle for a gameAt least 5 years working with Unity 3DKnowledge of 3D Math commonly used in 3D gamesExperience with real-time network design patternsDemonstrated experience planning, executing, and evaluating complex projects where analysis of situations and decision making requires an evaluation of unclear or ambiguous factorsDemonstrated history of making work happen with speed and simplicity by focusing on: Ensuring upfront alignment on priorities, roles, responsibilities, and decision making criteria. Identifying potential roadblocks early and develops plans to mitigate risks. Simplified iterations and reviews needed.
