Please provide a copy of your eligibility letter with your response.Duties Description The Office of Mental Health (OMH) is recruiting to fill a Business Systems Analyst 1 / Grade 18, position in the State Operations Finance Group, Billing System Administration team. Under the general direction of the Business Systems Analyst 2, specific duties of this incumbent include, but are not limited to, the following:• Monitor, diagnose, and coordinate resolution of interface errors between OMH's Electronic Health Records system (MHARS) and OMH's Billing System (Soarian Financials). Resolution paths include, but are not limited to, manual updates to billing records in Soarian Financials, communication with facility Health Information Management (HIM) staff to correct issues upstream in MHARS, and coordination with internal Operational leadership to remediate patterns and facilitate training.• Operate as a subject matter expert (SME) for the Admissions / Discharge / Transfer (ADT) interface. When OMHs EHR is replaced, participate in requirements gathering, build, and design discussions ensuring effective flow of communication across platforms.• Support the Billing System Change Management process. With direction from BSA-2, provide oversight and facilitate communication between groups, ensuring system functionality remains intact and that various stakeholders are informed.• Support ongoing Billing System regression testing with direction from BSA-2. Coordinate testing events through communication with OMH Operational areas and through accurate / timely logging and resolution of issues.• Assist in providing support to the OMH users of the billing system, and coordinate any training activities, including developing any materials and job aids, as needed .Additional Comments The starting salary for this position will vary based on the selected candidate’s education and/or experience. Candidates appointed at a trainee level will be required to successfully complete the traineeship to advance to the full performance level title and salary: $52,198 (Business Systems Analyst Trainee 1)$58,247 (Business Systems Analyst Trainee 2)$65,001 (Business Systems Analyst, full performance level)For current New York State employees, the starting salary is based on the candidate’s salary at the time of hire.
