Job Requirements / Description
This position is responsible for assisting the Head of HR by performing the company’s daily HR functions such as Recruiting/Staffing, Onboarding/Termination, Performance Management, and Employee Relations in order to achieve Company objectives.
Responsibilities
- Perform Recruiting and Staffing Activities: communicate with recruiting agencies by screening, recommending qualified candidates to hiring managers, and scheduling interviews.
- Perform Onboarding Process by fully understanding the company’s HR policy, Employee Handbook, and company benefit structure.
- Ensure job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Develop training materials and performance management programs to help ensure employees understand their job responsibilities.
- Create a compensation strategy for all employees based on market research and pay surveys; keep the strategy up to date.
- Investigate employee issues and conflicts and bring them to resolution.
- Ensure the organization’s compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Use performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to the team.
- Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.
- Partner with management to ensure strategic HR goals are aligned with business initiatives.
- Maintain HR systems and processes.
- Conduct performance and salary reviews.
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits.
- Design and implement employee retention strategies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university in human resources, organizational development, business, or a related area.
- 5+ years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, a team player, and a person who can perform in a diversified environment.
- Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
- Certifications from professional HR associations are a plus.
- Ability to work in the office in the San Jose, CA area.
