Director of Sales - Job Overview
At Pristine Hospitality, we work with an array of projects. This job will work directly with Sales and Marketing for Pristine Hospitality’s hotel portfolio and possibly with some internal organizational efforts with Barsana Investment Group. We currently have three hotels in our portfolio with more to come. We look for people who are down-to-earth and friendly, who are considerate and reliable, and who are always on hand when guests or team members need them. Someone that can work independently at times. They will help develop and set revenue sales and marketing strategies for the hotel to ensure plans are implemented, results are monitored and sales goals are achieved. Regularly sell hotel rooms, meeting rooms, and food/beverage through direct client contact.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Create and implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, food and beverage, and banquet sales.
- Produce monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends, coordinate activities to increase revenue and market share, and monitor performance to ensure actual sales meet or exceed established revenue plan.
- Help with generating sales leads, conducting individual outside and inside sales calls weekly, secure agreements with corporate accounts.
- Follow through with corporate/group leads and contracts.
- Maintain social media outlets, seek cool stories, and work with all team leaders (e.g., Facebook, website, etc.).
- Create and send promotional marketing information.
- Help the Sales Department with projects.
- Help the executive team with any tasks they may see fit.
- Manage day-to-day sales activities, plan and schedule weekly goals and establish performance and development goals for team members. Provide mentoring, coaching, and regular feedback to help manage conflict, improve team member performance and recognize good performance.
- Educate and train the front desk sales team. Work at developing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, and implementing sales strategies.
- Work with other department managers to ensure proper staffing levels based on guest volume.
- Take pictures at events or at company events (and/or collect pictures from team leaders and post).
- Help create reporting standards and guides based on upper management direction.
- Provide guests with information (e.g., loyalty programs, area attractions, restaurants, facility information) to enhance the guest experience. Help create hotel guides.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients (accounts) and outside contacts in order to produce group and/or convention business, including room sales, food & beverage sales, and catering/banquet services.
- Schedule and book corporate business or groups and meetings at the hotels and coordinate with other hotel-level departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients.
- Identify operational problems that reduce the effectiveness of marketing activities and overall hotel sales performance, and work with appropriate departments on solutions.
- Develop awareness and reputation of the hotels and the brands in the local community.
- Perform other duties as assigned. May also serve as the manager on duty.
- Will be required to coordinate events at any hotel of Pristine Hospitality.
- Due to demand in the hospitality industry, you may be required to come in on weekends, work from home by logging into our systems, or help with questions.
- Will be required to drive to businesses to help market our brand and see if we can help meet their hospitality needs.
- Team player and someone who must be professional at all times, with a bubbly fun personality.
- Able to work under pressure on deadlines and tasks.
- Help the SC Construction team with projects they may need help with.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Two to four years of experience in hospitality or sales and marketing setting or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Must speak fluent English.
- Capable of using Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, & PowerPoint.
- Intermediate Computer Skills.
- Able to Learn Quickly.
- Listens to Direction and is Organized.
