New Story In-District Services (IDS) partners with local school districts to enhance special education services by providing BCBAs, Teachers, RBTs, and Paraprofessionals within schools. Our mission is to support and empower teachers, case managers, and paraprofessionals, ensuring optimal outcomes for students with various diagnoses. Rivermont Schools is seeking a qualified"Licensed Counselor "to provide therapeutic support. We are looking for a professional therapist to help students prepare for academic achievement, and develop personal or social competencies through a comprehensive, preventive and developmental counseling program. This is a fulltime, 10 month position - paid for all school holidays and breaks, including summer.
Help students and family gain insight and help facilitate change with the students and family.
Collaborates and coordinates with parents and other agencies to increase quality of services.
Assists in the collection of quality indicator data.
Provides group and individual therapy as indicated by student need
Knowledgeable of principles of behavior change and provides guidance and feedback to classroom staff
Coordinates tele-psychiatry as indicated by student need.
Supervising various staff within the school.

~ Located throughout Virginia, Rivermont schools provide a therapeutic educational program for students ages 2-22 in early education through post-graduate studies with special needs, including those associated with autism spectrum disorder, behavioral challenges, and have difficulty learning in a traditional school setting. We offer an academic learning environment integrated with behavior support services for students diagnosed with autism or emotional/behavioral disorders.
