Product Strategy Manager

Expedia's Traveler Strategy team is looking for a Strategy Manager to help us deliver the best travel experience on the web. Do you want to help people go places? Come travel with us!

In this role, you will bring skills in critical thinking, detailed analyses, business case development, and executive storytelling to help us solve the next generation of online travel challenges. Sitting within the Product and Technology organization, this role supports all lines of business (Hotel, Vacation Rental, Air, Car, Cruise, Activities, Ground Transportation) with focus on Expedia's Traveler Strategy in the Shopping and Checkout funnel stages. Primary responsibilities include setting investment priorities and product direction while leading competitive analysis and contributing to long-term planning.

The Strategy team works with local and global teams to set strategy and drive business goals. You will play a key role in leading company-wide strategic projects while working across divisions with senior members of the Marketing, Traveler Business, Travel Partners and Media, Private Label Solutions, and Finance teams. We will help you grow as a problem solver, relationship builder, and communicator with skills to drive projects successfully across a broad range of topics and personalities.

What You'll Do

  • Help craft and deliver strategic plans and resulting roadmaps using data, imagination, and understanding of customer experience, industry, and ecommerce
  • Lead strategic projects and investigations to drive the business forward
  • Establish and own relationships with key internal partners
  • Frame strategic tradeoffs both orally and in writing, while considering inputs from others - especially differing viewpoints
  • Work as part of a team of strategists embedded with product owners and technologists
  • Drive decision-making and alignment by working directly with senior leadership across Expedia Group

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business, or a related field or equivalent related professional experience
  • MBA is a plus
  • 5+ years in consulting, product management, or corporate strategy preferred
  • Excellent quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • A demonstrated record of independently defining and conducting key analyses with light oversight
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate issues, including experience communicating complex information to senior leaders
  • Passion for big challenges and a good sense of humor
  • You are kind

The total cash range for this position in Austin is $110,500 to $155,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000 which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $110,500 to $155,000. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000 which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

The total cash range for this position in Chicago is $104,000.00 to $145,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $166,500.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
