Head of Operations for Wood Manufacturing

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Operations to join our team and drive our operations to new heights. We are in exposed wood manufacturing, and experience in the furniture industry is a MUST.

The Head of Operations will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety. This role requires a strategic and energetic leader who can manage a diverse team, optimize production processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Requirements:

MUST HAVE A DEEP UNDERSTANDING OF WOOD & LUMBER PROCESS AND WITH FURNITURE/MANUFACTURING EXPERIENCE.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Making weekly projects that total up to 35-50k; bonuses will be awarded at certain checkpoints.
2. Maintaining a presence on the plant floor and giving hourly updates, communicating with the CEO on WhatsApp groups, sending in pictures of each new operation setup.
3. Moving crew members around for the most efficient workflow to get key projects done.
4. Counting finished products and notifying office admin and WhatsApp chat for invoicing.
5. Printing out parts drawings for the team as needed, ensuring part drawings have proper labels of project number, species, etc.
6. Ensuring all trolleys have whiteboards with proper labels and project numbers and counts.
7. Responsible for hitting revenue goals of 30k+ weekly.
8. Finding solutions to problems/working with the office on order needs that arise without taking time away from machine leads to continue production.
9. Handling, calling, and organizing maintenance efforts to get machines back active as fast as possible.
10. Quality checking the work when it goes out for shipment.
11. Optimizing workflow packets with program names attached and handing finished workflow packets to office admin for changes for future similar projects, noting which operations come first or which can be done before another for optimum use of the machines and the floor employees.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
