Position Summary:

As a Production Assembler I, you will perform a variety of sub-assembly and assembly operations of basic complexity. This role is essential to ensuring safe and reliable electricity delivery worldwide.

Key Responsibilities:

• Study assembly instructions, blueprints, and parts lists to prepare work
• Position and assemble parts and subassemblies using templates or measurements
• Examine connections for correct fit and fasten parts and subassemblies
• Assist in building prototypes and basic assembly projects outside of normal production
• Maintain a safe, clean working environment and conserve resources
• Contribute to team effort by training others in basic assembly tasks as needed
• Inspect all work to ensure it meets requirements prior to passing it on
• Complete production and quality forms to document actions

Qualifications:

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience and skill development
• 0-1 year experience in a manufacturing environment desirable
• Ability to use small hand and power tools safely, read and interpret drawings and bills of material, and basic computer skills
• Ability to understand verbal instructions in English

Physical Demands:

• Work is classified as Medium - Heavy Physical Demand Level (PDL) by the US Dept of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles
• Occasional (1-33%); Frequent (34-66%); Continuous (67-100%) physical demands
