DevOps Engineer (New Health Care Company)

We expect the creation of the two companies will be completed by the end of the first quarter of 2024. We will continue to operate as one global company. This role is positioned to drive the success of the "New Health Care Company”.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced DevOps Engineer to join the HIS DevSecOps team. In this role, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining managed services and automation tooling that will be used by development teams across HIS. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of the applications and tools provided by HIS DevSecOps and have input into the vision for secure software delivery across HIS.

As a(n) DevOps Engineer you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Automate the creation of golden images using Packer and ansible with Bash and Powershell scripting.
- Ensure the golden images meet compliance requirements by remediating vulnerabilities and enhancing hardening scripts.
- Create and support CI/CD pipelines using AWS services such as CodePipeline, CodeBuild and CodeDeploy.
- Automate infrastructure deployment using CloudFormation.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and three (3) years of IT, DevOps or infrastructure experience
OR
- High School Diploma/GED from AND seven (7) years of IT, DevOps or infrastructure experience
AND
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
- Minimum of 1 year of Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure or other cloud services)
- Experience using Git for managing source control
- Experience with software engineering best practices (code reviews, source control, and build processes)
- Minimum 3 years of Linux experience
- Experience with Python, Bash or PowerShell
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Experiance with CloudFormation, ec2, ecs, Lambda, IAM, CodeDeploy, CodeBuild, CodePipeline, CloudWatch
- Experience with Linux Amazon Linux 2 automation and CI/CD
- Packer experience building AMIs
- Certification: AWS DevOps Engineer / AWS Certified Developer
- Master’s degree or equivalent practical experience
- Strong communication skills – written and verbal
