Staff Accountant job details include:
Schedule: Mon-Thurs 7:00am - 4:30pm, Friday 7:00am - 11:00am
Salary: $50,000 - $55,000/yr.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of accounts payable, including vendor profiles, W-9, 1099 reporting, and invoice coding.
- Reconcile credit card statements and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare monthly sales/use tax information and payroll journal entries.
- Review and adjust general ledger accounts and perform account reconciliations.
- Maintain fixed asset records and assist with month-end/year-end closing processes.
- Provide support during annual audits and assist the Accounting Manager as needed.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, policies, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Five years of related experience and a bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, is required, with ERP software experience as a plus.
- Strong organizational, time management, and independent work skills are essential, along with excellent interpersonal, communication, and judgment abilities.
- Must have strong written and verbal skills, be detail-oriented, reliable, and maintain confidentiality.
