Job Requirements / Description
Position Summary: The Senior Machine Learning Research Engineer will collaborate with other machine learning engineers and scientists to improve Lirio’s machine learning framework and models throughout the entire R&D pipeline: researching potential improvements in the ML literature, implementing prototypes and proofs-of-concept, incorporating the changes into our production agent codebase, and assisting as needed with performance analysis. Position title and compensation will be commensurate with experience. This position can be remote, or hybrid remote if located in Tennessee.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Implementing Novel Pieces of Lirio’s ML Framework and Pipeline Based on the Team’s Research and Design Discussions (30%)
- Enhancing Model / Agent Features (20%)
- Analyzing ML Framework / Pipeline / Model Performance and Contributing to Improvements (10%)
- Maintenance / Bug Fixes / Improvements on Existing ML Architecture, Pipeline, and Agent Features (15%)
- Researching Possible Agent Improvements in the ML Literature or Creating Novel Solutions and Prototypes (20%)
- Planning / Agile Ceremonies (5%)
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in computer science or related field
- PhD preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience developing machine learning models, frameworks, and pipelines, including the implementation of novel algorithms; and experience in the study of and contribution to state-of-the-art machine learning research.
- Experience with reinforcement learning and/or deep learning algorithms is highly preferred.
- Systems experience with Python, Tensorflow, and SQL.
