Technology for Social Impact Team is chartered with the mission of bringing the power of technology to every non-profit and humanitarian organization to accelerate Social Good. This organization will bring together our donation and grants programs, industry solutions, commercial sales efforts, and partner ecosystems to empower non-profits globally to address the world’s most pressing needs. Profits generated from this business will be reapplied to scaling operations and investments for Microsoft’s public good investments. This is a dynamic and fast-growing business focused on helping organizations on the front line of change to do their best work to create inclusive and enduring positive impact throughout our communities. We are hiring an Account Executive to help us achieve these goals.


Responsibilities


Customer Engagement

  1. Builds and maintains relationships with executives and business and technical decision makers at high levels of the customer's organization through consultative engagement to establish Rhythm of Business (RoB) with customer sponsors to highlight the value of the Microsoft solutions and subsequent Return on Investment (ROI). Seeks to deepen relationship with customers during interactions by being customer-focused and consistently honoring commitments and connecting the customer to Microsoft executives, and partners with them to foster trust and brand growth and loyalty through multiple levels of the customer's organization in the assigned accounts.
  2. Proactively develops a comprehensive understanding of the customer's business and technology needs and priorities for each assigned account. Identifies opportunities to drive optimizations and new business and technology solutions based on customer's strategies. Advocates on behalf of the customer internally, ensuring requests and needs of assigned accounts are being addressed.
  3. Understands customer drivers of business transformation and leads new opportunities and orchestrates internal teams to accelerate the customer's digital transformation.

Account Management

  1. Develops and oversees the execution of account plans utilizing common sales and delivery methodology for the Microsoft sales organization for multiple accounts to ensure Microsoft revenue targets and customer business needs are met.
  2. Thinks strategically about customer planning for assigned accounts, setting standards and priorities, engaging internal and external decision makers on long-term business planning.
  3. Anticipates moves within assigned accounts, as well as potential problems and ways to mitigate risks.

Sales Excellence

  1. Seeks customer feedback to identify and understand the drivers of satisfaction and/or dissatisfaction.
  2. Leads and orchestrates extended virtual teams and key stakeholders to expand relationship with decision makers and stakeholders of assigned accounts.
  3. Educates decision makers of assigned accounts on Microsoft's value proposition aligned to customer's business objectives.

Industry Knowledge

  1. Proactively builds and maintains a knowledge of Microsoft's product landscape, solutions, and strategy in the industry of assigned accounts.

Qualifications


Required/Minimum Qualifications

  1. 3+ years experience working in an industry (e.g., Financial Services, Retail, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Energy, Government, Education) and/or driving digital transformation.
  2. OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND 2+ years experience working in a relevant industry.
  3. OR Master's Degree in Business Administration AND 1+ year(s) experience working in an industry.

Additional Or Preferred Qualifications

  1. 8+ years experience working in an industry, driving digital transformation, or other relevant work experience.
  2. OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Technology, or related field AND 6+ years experience working in an industry.
  3. OR Master's Degree in Business Administration AND 4+ years experience working in an industry.
  4. 3+ years account management experience OR equivalent.

Account Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $102,300 - $180,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $140,900 - $199,000 per year.
