Job Description

This role includes both Talent Development (TD) and Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) responsibilities. The TD aspect will lead and implement talent development programs across the organization to ensure continuous employee growth and organizational capability building. The HRBP aspect will focus on supporting business and operational units by aligning HR strategies with business goals, providing comprehensive HR services, and acting as a strategic partner to manage employee relations, performance, and organizational changes.

Talent Development Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, development, and execution of global and local talent development programs that support employees' career growth, including leadership development, skill-building initiatives, and succession planning.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders to identify talent gaps and training needs to drive business success.
  • Create a learning culture through development frameworks that ensure ongoing growth and development of employees at all levels.
  • Manage the implementation of development initiatives across departments, ensuring alignment with business strategy.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of development programs and make data-driven improvements to ensure they meet organizational goals.
  • Lead special projects related to talent development, including mentoring programs, workshops, and e-learning platforms.
HRBP Responsibilities
  • Partner with business groups to provide strategic HR services and solutions in employee relations, performance management, and organizational change.
  • Collaborate with management to identify HR gaps, implement employee retention strategies, and develop high-potential talent.
  • Proactively assess organizational challenges and provide recommendations to attract, motivate, develop, and retain employees.
  • Ensure on-time delivery of HR projects and continuous improvement of processes.
  • Handle employee relations matters, including internal investigations, and manage responses to government-related claims.
  • Provide HR consultation for leadership development, talent acquisition, compensation, and benefits in collaboration with the HR COEs.
Essential Duties and Responsbilities
  • Strategic HR Consultation: Partner with Unit management to address HR needs, assess gaps, and deliver data-driven solutions for employee relations, performance, and talent acquisition.
  • Organizational Development & Efficiency: Advise on organizational design, process improvements, and change management to enhance efficiency and retain key talent.
  • Talent Development: Lead talent development programs, including leadership training, career pathing, and succession planning. Foster a learning culture that drives business success.
  • Program Implementation: Develop and execute HR and talent strategies, ensuring alignment with business goals. Regularly evaluate and adjust initiatives to optimize results.
  • Special Projects: Manage projects based on business needs, such as success celebrations, organizational initiatives, and compliance reporting.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance: Resolve employee relations issues and ensure compliance with employment laws, providing policy guidance and managing responses to claims.
  • Training & Development: Conduct needs assessments and deliver targeted training to close skill gaps and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Coordinate with corporate HR, divisions, and external agencies to implement HR and talent development initiatives effectively.

Analyze problems from multiple perspectives, using data-driven, creative, and innovative solutions within sound business judgment. Responsibilities span employee relations, staffing, training, performance management, compensation, disciplinary actions, policy improvements, legal compliance, and presenting to site and corporate management.

  • Accountability/Discretion

Many decisions, including policy interpretations, are made independently based on sound judgment and are not subject to management review. Errors or poor decisions could expose the corporation to legal risks, increase operating costs, reduce productivity, cause delays in programs, or require additional resources.

  • Working Relationships

Collaborate with employees at all levels, external vendors, and legal counsel, balancing employee advocacy with business objectives.

  • Supervision

Complete duties independently with minimal supervision.

Experience/Proven Skills/Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology or other related field plus a minimum of 5 years related experience in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment of change and competing priorities with 7-10 years of overall HR experience preferred.
  • Must have excellent communications, interpersonal and negotiation skills, as well as good presentation skills.
  • Proven success in leading change, leading project schedules and managing projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills including consultative and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives.
  • Experience in working in manufacturing and or high tech industry experience and working in union environment is preferred
  • Strong multi-tasking and project management skills and strong investigation and employee relations experience
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of applicable federal and state employment laws and compliance implications.
  • Must desire a high level of autonomy to manage multiple ongoing issues and complex employee relations matters with minimum supervision and with excellent execution.
  • Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability for negotiation and influencing change and facilitate conflict resolution.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams, assigned client group(s), and key contacts representing the organization on contracts or projects.
  • Experience with and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment
  • Intermediate to advance level skills with Microsoft office suite and working knowledge of HR systems (ex: Peoplesoft, Kronos, Taleo, SAP, etc) are required.
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred
  • Must be flexible with working hours to be able to support various shift groups
Compensation

$101,850 to $130,000
