Network Engineer

VCS is looking for a Network Engineer (with Java or Python) in Denver, CO for one of our clients.

Pay Rate: $65 - $70 /hr all inclusive W2

Location: Denver, Colorado (Hybrid role)

Contract: 4 Months with possible extension.

Work Authorization: US Citizen, Green Card Holder, EAD

Required Skills

1. 1-3 years of programming is preferred. Python is the preferred language, but experience with other object-oriented languages is also welcome: Java, JavaScript, C#, C++, R, Ruby, Perl, PHP, etc.
2. Strong understanding of the TCP/IP protocol stack.
3. CISSP, CCIE, CEH, CCNA is desired, but not required.
4. Experience with firewalls, access control lists (ACL's), Intrusion Detection Prevention technologies, and other network security equipment is desired.
5. A working knowledge of security threat vectors such as Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) attacks, networking, network security, and application security is desired.
6. Advanced problem-solving skills.
7. Demonstrates the capability of working in a team environment and collaborating with overseas partners.
8. Ability to work without oversight.
9. Strong understanding of cloud security principles and architecture, as well as an understanding of Content Delivery Networks.
