Trademark Associate Attorney

Our client is a major international firm, seeking a trademark associate for its Intellectual Property practice on the west coast in Los Angeles, Irvine, Menlo Park, Portland, Sacramento, San Francisco, Santa Monica, and Seattle. The salary for this position is between $260,000 and $310,000.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years’ experience handling trademark clearance, prosecution and enforcement for domestic and international trademark portfolios.
• Experience drafting and filing office action responses before the USPTO.
• Experience conducting and reviewing preliminary trademark searches on USPTO database/Saegis.
• Experience drafting descriptions of goods/services, overseeing new US trademark filings, overseeing Statement of Use, and renewal and maintenance filings.
• Experience negotiating trademark settlement and license agreements.
• Adept at handling Madrid Protocol filings.
• TTAB filing experience, copyright filing and registration, and conducting trademark and IP due diligence requests preferred.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admitted to practice in California or Washington State.
• Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills; team focused.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
