Press Club is a cocktail lounge and record bar with an emphasis on curating hospitality and atmosphere for our guests. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Pastry Chef with a strong work ethic and lots of curiosity who is bold enough to explore the world of mixology. This person will embody the highest standards of preparation, time management, service, consistency and execution.
What You’ll Do :
As the Head Chef at Press Club, you’ll be at the forefront of our culinary vision, creating a menu that complements our crafted cocktails and unique atmosphere. Your responsibilities will include:
- Menu Development : Create and refine a menu that aligns with our concept, featuring dishes that pair perfectly with our cocktail offerings.
- Kitchen Leadership : Lead and inspire our kitchen team, ensuring smooth and efficient operations during service.
- Quality Control : Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency, ensuring every dish that leaves the kitchen is exceptional.
- Inventory Management : Oversee ordering, inventory, and cost control to maintain profitability while minimizing waste.
- Training and Development : Train and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages growth and creativity.
- Health and Safety : Ensure the kitchen operates in compliance with all health, safety, and hygiene standards.
What We’re Looking For :
- A passion for innovative cooking and creating unique dishes that stand out.
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-energy, fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to inspire and manage a team.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- A creative approach to menu development with a focus on seasonal and fresh ingredients.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe kitchen.
Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 25lbs if necessary
Safely and effectively use all necessary tools and equipment
Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant
