Our client, a children’s apparel company, is hiring a Design Assistant, Childrenswear to join their team in NYC on a hybrid schedule (4 days in office). This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start their design career in a fast-paced environment in a subsidiary of a publicly traded company.
Job Duties Include:
- Contribute to sketching and tech pack creation
- Support team by assisting with presentation boards as needed
- Assist with admin duties including file organization
- Assist team with research
- Other duties as needed and assigned
Job Qualifications Include:
- Bachelor’s Degree in fashion or relevant major
- Strong internship experience OR 1+ years of experience post-grad within apparel design
- Strong foundation in PLM
- Children's apparel experience is a plus
- Strong sense of creativity showcased in a portfolio
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
Salary: $60k - $65k annually
