Employment/Class Action Attorney

Hybrid role - Los Angeles, CA

Well&Nest LLC has partnered with a mid-size litigation firm that services the legal needs of companies throughout California. They seek an Associate Attorney Employment/Class Action for their Los Angeles location.

Responsibilities

1. Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies
2. Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
3. Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action
4. Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions
5. Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs
6. Communicate with partners, associates, paralegals, and clients to ensure cases are handled efficiently

Qualifications

1. 2-3 years of experience
2. Wage and hour experience in class action and PAGA
3. Experience managing and analyzing records to assess compliance issues on a representative basis
4. Excellent writing and oral advocacy skills
5. Experience in discovery and law and motion practice
6. Self-starter who possesses strong organizational skills
7. Able to work with multiple clients
8. Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required
9. Jobseekers should be members of their local bar association, which is an active member-preferred association
10. Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
11. Experience managing information (i.e., time records) in Excel
12. Computer skills working with iManage and Coyote Analytics preferred

Hybrid Schedule:

3 days in the office (San Diego), 2 days working from home

Competitive Salary Range:
$135,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually plus bonus
