Key Responsibilities:

1. Empowered member of team responsible for growing an innovative, stable and successful biotech company in immuno-oncology and autoimmune diseases through partnering with strategic industry partners and academic collaboration.
2. Act as an expert in front-end business development and principal advisor to the organization, applying internal and external scientific and strategic awareness to positively impact company plans.
3. Lead business development scouting and diligence and play an integral part in all aspects of deal-doing, like valuation, governance, negotiation and execution.

Representative and Liaison:

1. Represent the science and technology of Immunocore to key external audiences.
2. Create new and strengthen existing relationships with partners, collaborators and academics.
3. Partner with internal colleagues in developing and executing a business development strategy.

Strategist and Technician:

1. Conduct technology and market assessment and analysis for new business opportunities.
2. Lead and orchestrate all facets of due diligence on deals led.
3. Develop term sheet proposals that align all internal and external stakeholders.

Corporate Stewardship:

1. Regularly interact with and influence key stakeholders.
2. Coach others on the partnering process and expected deliverables.

Experience & Knowledge:

Essential:

1. ~10+ years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in biopharma business development or academic technology transfer.
2. Proven business development experience, preferably gained within the biotech environment.
3. Must demonstrate scientific knowledge and gravitas to hold/drive meaningful scientific discussions.

Education & Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in science or finance required.
2. An advanced degree (PhD/MBA) is a plus.
