Maintenance Engineer

Description of the role:
The Maintenance Engineer at The Verve Hotel - Boston Natick is responsible for ensuring the overall functionality and appearance of the hotel's facilities and equipment. This includes conducting regular inspections, performing preventative maintenance, and addressing any repairs or issues promptly.
Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular inspections of the hotel's facilities and equipment to identify any maintenance needs
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of all systems and equipment
• Respond promptly to any maintenance requests or emergencies to minimize disruptions and ensure guest satisfaction
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems as needed
• Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of the hotel's grounds and exterior areas
• Coordinate and oversee the work of external contractors or vendors when needed
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including completed tasks and materials used
• Adhere to all safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:

• Prior experience in a similar maintenance role, preferably in the hospitality industry
• Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building systems
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair various maintenance issues
• Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
