RESPOND, Inc. is seeking a Housing Program Assistant. This position reports to the Manager of Housing Services, and provides support in varoius aspects of the Housing program. This is a Monday through Friday, full time, non-exempt hourly position, 8 hours shift, with half hour unpaid lunch.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
None
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Ensure timely service and support to clients, such as referrals for other services, conducting a needs evaluation and resolving complaints
  • Maintains a consistent and effective program, ensuring positive staff/client communication
  • Collects rent fees and follows up with tenants as appropriate to collect late rents
  • Sends out late notices of rent fees
  • Helps with Housing inspections
  • Prioritizes all work orders for Respond Housing program
  • Ability to work flexible schedule as required
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Minimum of an Associate's degree
  • At least one (1) year experience working with tenants
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to quickly learn program-specific software programs
  • Web-based computing experience preferred
Compensation:
  • $16 - $17 per hour and is commensurate with experience

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods standing and walking throughout the buildings
  • Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at a time
  • Vision abilities required by this job include: close vision; distance vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and ability to adjust focus
