Job Description
A brilliant opportunity exists for an outstanding individual capable of fitting into this very rewarding Business Development Manager role. Our client, a leading contract research company, is looking to hire someone who can bring added value to the team. If you're dedicated, energetic and detail-oriented, this could be the perfect role for you. Responsibilities include:
1) Develop proposals with cost estimates, contribute to contracts and contract amendments
2) Find leads and close deals to achieve personal quarterly and annual sales targets
3) Analyze the business market and provide a market analysis report to provide an accurate market basis for company decisions
4) Submit all data related to the marketing activities as required by the company from time to time
5) Understand existing customer's or potential customer's business, pipeline and opportunities in order to approach customers with confidence and knowledge
6) Build relationships within the customer's organization to gain trust and generate new business opportunities to develop a partnership atmosphere
7) Build and expand a business reference network to help grow and develop new business opportunities
8) Develop a thorough knowledge of company services and the bid process
9) Ensure that bids meet customer's expectations and specific requirements
10) Maintain communications with customers regarding ongoing projects to ensure customer's expectations are being met after each sale
11) Modify company bid preparation template and boilerplate text to meet changing client needs or specific requirements
12) Review project reports and provide a critical review to improve the content
13) Attend trade shows, conferences and other events, and also set up exhibit booths and identify branding opportunities that result in direct sales opportunities and other benefits for the company
14) Work both independently and in a team environment
15) Submit reports from client visits, conferences attended and any other sales activities
Critical Requirements
1) A university degree is required. Although all candidates are welcome and encouraged to apply, preference will be given to those with degrees in a relevant field
2) Appropriate full-time work experience is mandatory (no students or fresh graduates please)
3) Recent experience in the contract research industry is strongly preferred
4) Preference will be given to candidates with recent experience in sales management
