Senior Systems Engineer
The Senior Systems Engineer (SSE) is an integral member of the company’s Project and Service teams and significantly contributes to building out and maintaining the IT and telecommunication infrastructures for our customers.

Technical Qualifications and Competencies
The ideal candidate will meet or exceed the following technical qualifications.
- Core competency certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Server+, Cloud+, Microsoft Certified Professional, CCNA, etc. Advanced certifications such as MCSE, CISSP, CASP+, etc. are preferred. (Exceptions will be made for candidates with commensurate experience).
- 5+ Years’ recent experience providing Tier 1 and 2 consultative IT support for small-to-medium sized businesses.
- 5+ years’ working with a Managed Services Provider (preferred but not required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar field (preferred but not required).
Candidates receiving preferred consideration will have diverse experience with engineering, implementing and supporting the following technologies:
Routing and Networking, including:
- Firewalls (SonicWall, Cisco/Meraki, Ubiquiti, et al) and VPN/VLAN
- Managed Network Switches (Meraki, Ubiquiti, et al)
- Wireless Access Points (Meraki, Ubiquiti, et al)
Microsoft Windows Server and Workstation Operating Systems and Services, including:
- Active Directory
- Group Policy
Cloud Platforms, including:
- Office 365
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft Intune
- Backup and Disaster Recovery platforms
- VoIP and telecommunications, video conferencing and conference bridges, PBX, SIP, etc.
- Linux Servers and Operating Systems (preferred but not required)

- Excellent oral and written communication skills
The SSE role requirements and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Perform on-site and remote project (new) and service (support) implementation and support services
- Act as an escalation point for more complex issues when necessary
- Lead by example and provide mentoring when appropriate to junior technical personnel.
- Assist with technical discoveries for potential project work and onboarding new customers.
- Travel onsite to client sites as needed when remote resolution or implementation is not feasible or possible.
