The Role:
Maintain the safety and security of all staff, artists, vendors, and guests. Create and maintain a positive and uplifting experience for diverse groups of individuals.

Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure guest safety through proactive personal interaction and removing hazards in the area of responsibility.
  2. Prevent and resolve altercations among guests.
  3. Lead guests and other employees in emergency evacuation procedures and provide assistance.
  4. Maintain control by circulating through your work area throughout the shift.
  5. Check identification of any guest who appears to be under 30 years of age who is drinking alcoholic beverages inside the venue.
  6. Ensure that no weapons or harmful items enter the venue by inspecting every guest with a metal detector or pat-down search.
  7. Enforce House policy regarding photos/videos/recording devices.
  8. Safeguard against theft and property damage.
  9. Communicate clearly using radios, hand signals, and flashlights. Remain in constant contact throughout the shift.
  10. Set up area before opening (stanchions, table configuring, etc.).
  11. Keep interior and exterior of the venue clear and safe, cleaning spills and removing food, trash or other obstacles, before, during and after the shift.
  12. Required to occasionally work Special Events that are scheduled throughout the venue.

Qualifications:
Required:

  1. Current Guard Card or PSO Card.
  2. Proof of Completion – 8 or 16 hour certification course.
  3. Proof of completion – 2 hour BSIS annual recertification course if guard card is greater than 1 year old.
  4. Ability to work late hours.
  5. Flexible schedule.
  6. 3 years work experience interacting with people in a positive environment.
  7. Read, write and speak English fluently.
  8. Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
  9. Tolerance of all cultures, music, and art forms.
Preferred:
  1. Bi-lingual.
  2. Cash handling experience.
  3. Experience recognizing valid ID’s.
  4. Experience in a live music environment.
  5. Self-defense training.
  6. Experience using metal detection equipment.
  7. EMT or other medical background.

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

  • Working environment is fast-paced, often loud and stressful.
  • Position requires extended periods of prolonged standing and working on your feet both indoors and outdoors.
  • Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs using proper lifting techniques.
