Position Overview:

The Director plays a crucial role in overseeing the overall operations, administration, and program development of the daycare center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children.

Responsibilities:

  1. Staff Management:
    • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of qualified childcare professionals.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure a high standard of care.
    • Foster a collaborative and supportive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development.
    • Ensure the Kitchen Manager’s responsibilities are done timely and in line with Strive Academy’s values.
  2. Student Enrollment:
    • Manage CRM for prospective enrollees.
    • Tour families through the center.
    • Follow up with prospects to encourage enrollment.
    • Track prospect data and provide feedback on recruitment system.
  3. Compliance and Licensing:
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing child care centers.
    • Maintain accurate records related to licensing, certifications, and staff training.
    • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and inspectors to ensure the center meets or exceeds all licensing requirements.
  4. Parent Communication and Engagement:
    • Establish effective communication channels with parents to keep them informed about their child's progress, daily activities, and upcoming events.
    • Write & distribute newsletters/email notifications.
  5. Safety and Security:
    • Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure the well-being of all children and staff.
    • Conduct regular safety drills and emergency preparedness training for staff.
    • Maintain a secure and child-friendly facility, addressing any safety concerns promptly.
    • Regularly assess emergency preparedness protocols and tweak as needed.
    • Manage staff and parent entry codes on the front security door.
  6. Financial Management:
    • Manage parent billing.
    • Monitor and control expenses related to supplies, equipment, and staffing.
  7. Corporate Responsibilities:
    • Create, update, and implement Strive Academy SOPs.
    • Participate in interviews of new teachers.
    • Regular meetings with Owners to report updates and implement Company Vision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) and/or proven experience in a leadership role within a daycare or early childhood education center.
  • Strong knowledge of early childhood development, education principles, and best practices.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and licensing requirements.
  • CPR and First Aid certified.
  • Background check passed with Health & Welfare.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
