WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As a Project Architect/Project Technical Designer at PDR, you will join a collaborative team focused on delivering high-quality interior design and architectural solutions. You will lead the production of construction documentation, coordinate with consultants and contractors, and oversee construction administration. Your role will involve:

  • Understand and communicate project deliverables effectively.
  • Participate in and contribute to the design process.
  • Ensure adherence to PDR documentation standards and internal processes.
  • Develop construction documentation scope and production schedules in collaboration with project leads.
  • Create detailed parametric architectural models and high-performance construction documents.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with building codes.
  • Lead and manage documentation efforts on medium-complexity projects, including document reviews and field issue resolution.
  • Advise clients on construction changes and impacts on schedules.

Coordination:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Facilitate drawing and code reviews, and coordinate consultant documents.
  • Manage internal and external communication to ensure project alignment and success.
  • Maintain open communication within the team and with project leads.
  • Engage in continuous learning and professional development through design reviews, networking events, and new business activities.
  • Participate in company events, including happy hours and vendor presentations.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design from a CIDA or NCARB-accredited school.

Experience:

5-10 years of relevant experience in architecture or interior design.

Licensure:

Registered Architect, Registered Interior Designer, or currently pursuing licensure.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Dynamo, Construction Cloud, and other design software.
  • Strong expertise in parametric modeling, visualization, and graphic software.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Active participation in relevant professional organizations (e.g., IIDA, AIA).

SOFTWARE PROFICIENCY

  • Autodesk Revit: Expert
  • Autodesk Dynamo: Intermediate
  • Autodesk ReCap: Introductory
  • Adobe Photoshop: Proficiency
  • Adobe InDesign: Proficiency
  • Autodesk Construction Cloud: Expert
  • Rhinoceros3D: Intermediate
  • Grasshopper: Intermediate
