Position Highlights
The University of Arizona, College of Nursing is looking for an organized, detail-oriented candidate to fill the position of Admissions Advisor for its entry-level bachelor and master programs. As a member of the Office of Student & Academic Affairs (OSAA), this role oversees the admissions and onboarding process for entry-level BSN and MS-MEPN programs in the college. A big part of this role is supporting entry-level students before, during and after the admissions process - from initial inquiry through matriculation in the college's degree programs. Under the guidance of the Director of Student Affairs, the Admissions Advisor is responsible for facilitating a smooth transition from prospective applicant to fully onboarded student.

Duties & ResponsibilitiesDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build, update and manage applications in the application systems: GradApp, NursingCAS.
- Evaluate applications and transcripts to ensure applicants meet the minimum eligibility requirements.
- Manage and coordinate interviews and entrance exams for entry-level program applicants.
- Generate reports using a variety of tools.
- Coordinate and continually improve student onboarding process - collaborating with faculty and advisors.
- Respond to student inquiries in a professional, timely manner via email, phone, webinar or in-person.
- Counsel and recommend appropriate pathways to students interested in a nursing career and to students who did not receive an admissions offer.
- Ensure websites are updated with the most accurate program information.
- Serve as staff representative on admission task forces.
- Develop system/process resources and training guides for faculty admission committees.
- Facilitate clear communication and promote a positive working relationship with OSAA, college faculty, university units and external partners.
- Manage information sessions, application academies, campus tours, recruiting events, etc. (nights/weekends may be necessary).
- Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Exceptional organizational skills.

- Ability to effectively use administrative systems, databases, and standardized software programs, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Skill in reconciling data between multiple sources or systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including public speaking.
- Ability to interact in a professional manner with diverse constituencies.
- Ability to establish, maintain and sustain positive, professional working relationships internally and cross-functionally.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, service-oriented office environment - including responding to walk-in questions.
- Ability to multi-task during critical time periods.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience with Transfer Credit & Articulation
- Experience in University of Arizona systems - UAccess, Trellis, Slate, and Nursing CAS
- Advanced experience in Excel.
