Lead - Warehouse - Nights
This specific position will entail providing leadership, training and assistance to the hourly personnel and activities in the Receiving Warehouse.
Responsible to unload bulk containers (railcars and trucks) of raw product; store product in proper plant locations and to ensure raw materials are available for daily production requirements.
1.Champion company safety and quality culture, as well as Continuous Improvement programs
2. Ability to perform all job duties of a material handler in the raw material warehouse, as well as knowledge and understanding of shipping/receiving, rail switches and inventory control.
3.Ability to effectively train new and existing employees on all job responsibilities specific to Material Handling using available training checklists, work instructions, procedures etc.
4. Support material handlers in warehouse with their job assignment. Provide feedback on job performance issues directly to supervision.
5. Ability to operate lift truck and paper roll clamp attachment.
6. Oversee rail switches and operate rail car mover in a safe, effective manner.
7. Coordinate rail car movement with CCET, Huhtamaki's rail service provider.
8. Help supervision to improve operational efficiencies in receiving warehouse.
9. Assist, as needed, in assigning daily job duties and scheduling personnel to meet operational goals.
10. Can effectively and independently provide leadership, help and support in Warehouse when supervision is not present
11. Ability to perform basic supervisory duties, excluding issuing disciplinary action, in the absence of supervision.
12. Other duties as assigned by management/supervision.
1.Basic educational level background normally acquired through the completion of high school level programs leading to a diploma or equivalent preferred. .
2. Must be able to operate a forklift truck and obtain annual certification
3. Must have legible handwriting and able to perform various mathematical calculations by hand and by use of a calculator.
4. Requires three (3) + years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing operation or equivalent experience
5. Demonstrated ability to perform all job duties of a material handler in the receiving warehouse
6. Demonstrated hands-on experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) preferred.
7. Demonstrated hands-on understanding and experience with Huhtamaki software programs (including, but not limited to, Transition Works and BPCS) preferred
8. Must possess strong interpersonal skills with ability to work with employees at all levels.
9. Must have thorough knowledge of the company's shipping, receiving, and inventory control functions
10. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, adapt to change and support/lead projects.
11. Must possess good communication skills to deal with outside vendors and inside department
