Position: Professional Development Manager (global law firm)
Location: New York, NY (Hybrid)
Company: AM 100 law firm
Comp Package: Base Salary to $185k, Bonus, Full Benefits, 401K+, Tuition Reimbursement, etc.
Responsibilities for Professional Development Manager:

• Collaborate with practice group leaders and various committees to plan for future workforce needs, capacity projections and target planning
• Collaborate with Managers in assigned practice groups to implement individualized development plans through staffing, mentoring, training and other development initiative
• Partner with practice group leaders to ensure attorneys receive feedback as well as strategies to achieve their goals
• Ensure that the professional development needs of diverse attorneys, women and those on reduced schedules are being addressed
• Interface with Partners and Associates, respond to and clarify staffing requests from senior lawyers
• Attend Practice group and subgroup meetings to understand the business and staffing needs of the practice areas
• Collaborates with partners to ensure utilization is equitable, including exposure to a variety of matters and partners, and consistent with client needs.

Requirements for Professional Development Manager:

• Bachelor's degree required; Juris Doctorate degree preferred
• 5+ years of relevant professional development experience in a law firm
• Experience working closely with Attorneys and D&I team
• Reasonable level of financial literacy and numeracy, and comfort analyzing data/metrics
• Advanced proficiency of Microsoft Office Suite, knowledge of viDesktop is a plus
