Overview:
Our Client in Harrisburg, PA is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager with a passion for Energy/ Renewable energy! Our Client is looking for an individual with a desire for personal development and career growth. The Senior Construction Project Manager will oversee all aspects of multi-million-dollar construction/energy services/Turnkey projects portfolio. They will be collaborating with sales and equipment teams, service account managers and the Director of Operations directly.
They will have direct responsibility for project financials, administration, implementation, management, and customer satisfaction. Serving as the established point of contact for stakeholders, they will lead the project team through all facets of the project and support project development efforts to scope total solutions with a special focus on energy projects, with room for improvement in delivery.
Responsibilities:
• Support sales functions by assisting with quote preparation, project development, and proposals.
• Validate project scope, cost, and schedule by reviewing contract documents, attending pre-bid validation meetings, holding internal meetings, and establishing customer expectations.
• Manage change orders by identifying opportunities, recommending solutions, facilitating quotes, utilizing pricing strategies, and closing orders providing total solutions across business streams.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by supporting company initiatives, building customer relationships, investigating concerns, implementing corrective actions, and developing communication plans with both internal and external stakeholders to provide timely project updates.
• Utilize properly qualified subcontractors, oversee subcontractor RFQ process, award subcontracts, manage subcontractor execution, collaborate with subcontractors to establish communication guidelines for project progress, project meetings, billing expectations, project safety, and foster professional relationships with subcontractors.
• Financially manage all aspects of projects including cash flow, monthly forecasted cost/revenue, forecasted cost at completion, monitoring expenses, collections support, applied cost, buy-out plans,
• Provide knowledge on financial impacts when adjusting cost categories, and oversee preparation and communications for monthly backlog review with leaders.
• Creating energy solutions to elevate standards and contribute to owner-direct initiatives
• Create and maintain project schedules generating tasks, dependencies, milestones, critical path, resource assignments, identify future-looking planning needs and resource constraints, and collaborate with Controls PM to establish project tasks, communications for project progress, and review of plans/specifications and control submittals.
• Lead all aspects of project administration including responsibility for knowledge of and adherence to contract penalty clauses and/or liquidated damages, analyzing reporting to identify project deficiencies.
• Provide guidance on corrective actions, managing projects to business compliance, project documentation, safety guidelines, and maneuvering through governing agencies requirements including state, city, county, federal, and local levels.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, (or related discipline) or Construction Project Management Degree.
• Minimum of 6 years’ experience in project management.
• Advanced understanding of the development phase related to construction energy projects and opportunities.
• Preference for candidates with PMP certification or interest in sustainability
• Knowledgeable on all construction systems and technologies.
• Experience managing construction projects ranging from $1 to $30 million
• Strong expertise in K-12 markets, as well as other sectors, particularly healthcare
• Ability to be the big picture person and build business by seeing potential upgrades/ energy solutions/ utility incentives to new and current clients
• Experience with PM Construction Software like Pro-Core & Microsoft teams.
• Financial Project Management & Project Schedules experience.
• Experience with pre-construction and overseeing projects from start to finish
• Strong leadership skills, ability to mentor other project managers. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in building and monitoring projects using Microsoft Projects
• Ability to successfully lead a project team.
