Summary

As an Accounting Lead you will supervise the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to provide guidance and expertise to ensure that work is completed in a timely and accurate manner. You will manage and perform general accounting functions such as preparing financial reports and analysis, providing audit support, and reconciling bank accounts. This position has strict deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including processing journal entries, financial statement analysis, cash flow analysis, generating reports and the support of tax compliance activities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Take complete ownership of accounting periodic reconciliations.
  • Continuously improve the accuracy and efficiency of the monthly financial reporting process and related internal financial and general business controls.
  • Oversee all financial transactions, such as credit card, bank reconciliations, and lead a small accounting team (AR/AP);
  • Manage incoming and outgoing bank payments via approval process.
  • Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, year-end close.
  • Review and Capture weekly COS/WIP transactions in ERP system.
  • Ensure state and federal compliance activities are performed in a timely manner by assisting with 1099’s, sales tax, property tax, financial review, Corp tax preparation for filling.
  • Knowledge of GAAP, accounting principles and practices
  • Partner with VP of Finance on accounting functions and operations to create transparency and efficiency within the financial department.
  • Prepare, review, and provide accurate financial analysis to the Executive team in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to policies, guidelines and procedures pertaining to the protection of information assets.
  • Perform other work-related duties.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA/BS/AA degree in accounting.
  • 5+ Years experience in finance and accounting.
  • Supervisor /lead Experience
  • Experience working in manufacturing environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Possess excellent financial analysis skills and in-depth knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Experience using Epicor ERP especially Kinetic.
  • Highly proficient in Excel and Power point.
  • A curious, critical thinker who can identify potential roadblocks and recommend alternative resolutions.
  • Experienced in prioritizing tasks and focus efforts on completing them in a timely manner.
  • Financial reporting and root-cause analysis experience.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour shift 8:00AM - 4:45PM
  • Monday to Friday (Regular Business Hours)
