Our client, a proprietary trading firm headquartered in Chicago, is seeking a Quant Researcher to join the team. They are committed to leveraging technology and math to implement competitive trading strategies. The team has extensive, global experience in a wide variety of asset classes, risk management, and leading trading technologies. We focus our efforts on hiring extremely talented and motivated individuals to collaborate with each other and compete in the world’s financial markets. The Quant will have the opportunity to work in our Chicago or New York office focusing on expanding and optimizing current and future trading opportunities.

Your impact:

  1. Work with the team to optimize the current strategy components and identify new trading opportunities.
  2. Research and test alphas to improve existing tools and identify methods to increase trading efficiency.
  3. Focus on enhancing the production trading system and rewriting existing trades and signals.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. A Bachelors, Masters, or PhD degree with more than 2 years of experience with an emphasis in Computer Science and Statistics/Math (e.g. Data Science, Physics, etc.).
  2. Strong multi-tasking skills, including the ability to prioritize and work on multiple projects at one time.
  3. Experience with Python, C++, and machine learning tools.
  4. Ability to understand the optimization and profiling of trading systems with proven success of developing models in a low latency trading environment.
