Job title: CNC Machinist - Bridge Mill
Reports to: CNC Manager
Supervisory responsibilities: None.
Summary/objective: Specialty Tooling Systems (STS) is seeking CNC Machinists to run their new Bridge Mill for both day and night shifts! The CNC Machinist will be responsible for producing machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating the bridge mill.
Essential functions:
Download programs as needed.

Ability to perform your own programming using WorkNC and running your details.

Setup and machine to the proper programs and tolerances required.

Recheck setups, change cutters and inserts, and make adjustments as needed to achieve the best possible results.

Maintain appropriate tools and keep current on calibration.

Keep work area clean.

Follow all safety rules and report unsafe work conditions to management.

Regular attendance at work during scheduled work hours.

Employees may be requested to perform other job functions as required.
Required competency, education, and experience:
- Experience with Okuma controller
- Experience with WorkNC (3 years)
- Experience working with and programming 5 axis mills
- Experience setting up and machining weldments from small to large
- Experience with Renshaw probing
- A well rounded knowledge of cutters and inserts, and feeds/speeds.
- Candidate must have high school or equivalent education.
- Candidate must have valid driver’s license
Preferred education and experience:
Okuma bridge mill experience (3 years)
Work environment: Manufacturing environment
Physical demands:
Candidate must have full use of all limbs.

Candidate must be able to lift 40 pounds.
Position type and expected hours of work: Full time. Both day and night shift positions are available.
- Day Shift: 40-50 hours per week. 6 am - 2:30/4:30 pm
- Night Shift: 40-50 hours perf week. 4 pm to 12:30/2:30 am
Travel: None.
