We are looking for an intern to build data science and machine learning solutions for our clients’ complex and real-world problems. You will work directly with the founders, engineering team, and a set of economist advisors. Note that this is an in-person role based in San Francisco.
Customers come to Luca because they want to optimize their business through pricing. As a Data Science Intern, you will be responsible for solving our clients’ real-world problems by delivering data products for both internal and external use.
This is a “full stack” position, so you can expect to do some or all of:
- Understand customer data and create ingestion and ETL pipelines
- Use this data to design, develop, and deploy ML models
- Work with the backend team to make insights from these models available for internal APIs
- Design and analyze experiments to test the efficacy of pricing and promotion changes
We’re open to any candidate that is excited to learn more about machine learning powered solutions for price optimization. You don't need to know how to do all of the above - just be ready and excited to work hard and learn.
Bonus Qualifications, But Absolutely Not Required Are:
- Pursuing a Ph.D., M.S. or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Machine Learning or other quantitative fields.
- Previous work experience as a data scientist or machine learning engineer.
