Application Development Director

Who we are

As the Application Development Director, you will provide leadership in the development and implementation of business applications critical to the operations of the organization. This includes ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems, Transportation Management Systems, and Customer web portal.

Responsibilities

• Lead product roadmaps and ensure high-quality product delivery
• Develop and maintain technical vision for software development
• Manage software development and production delivery
• Explore new technologies to keep the organization at the cutting edge
• Collaborate with internal and external resources
• Measure performance metrics related to quality and efficiency
• Resource planning and project assignment
• Manage vendor relations for 3rd party applications
• Mentor and coach team members
• Provide code reviews and contribute to software architecture

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related discipline
• 15+ years of software development experience, including 5+ years in leadership
• Experience in implementing business applications and high-performance applications
• Ability to manage high-pressure situations and prioritize multiple issues
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Willingness to travel up to 50%
