About this role:
This role will have a focus on leading teams at the Superintendent level executing projects of various sizes and complexity. You will plan, organize and direct all daily activities for teams of up to 30 on single or across multiple project sites.

Location and Travel:

  1. Dallas/Fort Worth or Texas preferred
  2. Travel: Ability to travel nationwide at times on short notice for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Understand and interpret the contract, scope, submittals, and specifications and explain to field staff, administrative personnel, and clients.
  2. Plan, organize, and direct daily activities necessary to the successful completion of the project.
  3. Develop and integrate project schedules effectively with other trades or end users.
  4. Consistently meeting or exceeding productivity standards consistent with KEI’s Productive Jobsite Program.
  5. Manage site logistics and material procurement.
  6. Manage company-owned and rented tools/equipment.
  7. Collaborate with project managers or other administrative personnel to establish work execution plans, project budgets, and site safety plans.
  8. Supervise, direct, and mentor project field staff.
  9. Develop and execute task-specific MOP’s for all shutdown activities.
  10. Monitor installations and report labor hours for budget tracking.
  11. Conduct annual performance evaluations for all direct reports.
  12. Ensure compliance with national and local codes and regulations.
  13. Conduct jobsite safety inspections and prepare safety inspection reports.
  14. Lead or assist with investigations, including root cause analysis as needed.

Position Requirements:

  1. Journeyman’s license or higher (Masters).
  2. 10+ years of experience in the electrical industry.
  3. 2+ years of experience, recently as an electrical superintendent.
  4. Experience in 600v distribution system installations and/or upgrades .
  5. High school diploma/GED.
  6. Proven expertise to effectively manage all onsite aspects of a project, including scheduling/forecasting of manpower, field change order management, document control, material and management, equipment tracking, and client relations.
  7. Strong math and problem-solving skills.
  8. History of managing crews of 15 or more while routinely meeting or beating the projected job costs.
  9. OSHA 30 certificate, as well as the ability to identify and mitigate site safety risks.
  10. Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  11. Ability and willingness to travel to various project jobsites throughout the country, if needed.
