Job Overview
As a Data Scientist at Procal, you will be responsible for analyzing large, complex datasets and identifying meaningful patterns that lead to actionable recommendations. You will be performing thorough testing and validation of models and support various aspects of the business with data analytics. Also, you will be involved in the latest AI & Data driven research including deep learning and generative AI in the telecom domain.
This position will combine the typical Data Scientist math and analytical skills, with research, advanced business, communication, and presentation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Hand on experience with building analytical models.
- Leverage advanced statistical analysis and / or machine learning to shape product development.
- Experience with creating models using structured and unstructured data with experience with decision trees, CNN, DNN etc.
- Executing analytical experiments methodically to help solve various problems and improve productivity and business outcomes.
- Conducting data analytics and quantitative modeling for various data types to impact across different domains.
- Leading the end-to-end AIML tool design and development in production
- Being a subject matter expert on the enterprise data model
- Master machine learning algorithms including forecasting, clustering, classification, reinforcement learning, deep learning etc.
- Experience working with and creating data architectures. Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications
- Data extraction/transformation/loading and statistical analysis experience is required.
- Experience with BigQuery, BigQuery ML, Domino in GCP is a plus.
- Experience running and deploying models in a variety of environments including Docker swarm or Kubernetes.
- Written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python, Pyspark, Scala.
- Experience with Spark, Hadoop, MySQL, Hue, Druid, TeraData SQL, Kafka and Pulsar.
- Strong analytical capabilities, creativity and critical thinking required.
- Lead the design, analysis, and interpretation of projects from data requirement gathering to data processing, modeling, and recommendations
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify new opportunities requiring the use of modern analytical and modeling techniques
- Design and execute experiments (e.g., A/B testing, multi-armed bandit)
- Communicate insights and recommendations to business leads and influence strategic decision-making
Key Skill sets
- Experience in R and/or Python required.
- Experience in Big Data Analysis required.
- Generative AI and GPU solution optimization experience is a plus.
- Ability to do statistical modeling, build predictive models and leverage machine learning algorithms, build efficient ML pipeline is required.
- Telecom experience would be ideal
Qualifications
- MS or PhD in a relevant field (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Applied Math)
- 5+ years work experience in a data science role at a tech company, or Ph.D. in quantitative field with 3+ years data science work experience at a tech company
