Job Description:

A successful candidate will be prepared to assist the current leadership in expanding revenue by working with practice offices on existing clients and external opportunities coming through our business development team and possess the following skills:

  • Deep understanding of IRC Sections 41 and 174 and related regulations and guidance
  • Develop and execute project work plans
  • Lead technical interviews with client personnel such as scientists and engineers
  • Develop appropriate quantitative and qualitative documentation to support project results
  • Drive business development and sales growth
  • Manage risk and technical review of R&D projects
  • Lead Federal and state controversies related to R&D tax credits and Section 174
  • Exhibit proven leadership and project management skills in managing client service teams and multiple projects in a fast-paced and interactive team environment to meet and exceed client expectations
  • Strong data management skills, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Alteryx
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to mentor and develop managers and young professionals, including on-the-job technical training and coaching
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a proven ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or engineering, MST is a plus
  • 6+ years experience in public accounting; strong preference for Big 4 or large regional firm experience
  • Experience in the subject matter areas described above preferred
  • CPA, EA, or PE credential required

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $137,208.00 to $291,197.00 per year.
