Description
Come join our team at Saint Francis Hospital, part of Trinity Health Of New England!
This is a Registered Nurse (RN) position and may require working at Saint Francis Hospital, Mt Sinai Rehab Hospital, and/or our medical group sites.
Position Purpose
Implement the Infection Prevention & Control program to minimize the acquisition and spread of infection in patients and personnel
What You Will Do
  • Serve as an expert in infection prevention and control and a consultant and resource for departments and hospital personnel in matters of infection prevention and control
  • Educate concerning matters of infection prevention and control and infections
  • Teach residents and medical students rotating on the Infectious Disease service
  • Conduct research studies in the fields of Infectious Disease and Epidemiology
Minimum Qualifications
  • RN required, must have Bachelor's Degree and current CT License in good standing
  • At least 3 years experience in nursing, clinic laboratory or epidemiology
  • Certified in Infection Control strongly preferred, or apply for certification after two years employment in Infection Control
