Demonstrates an in-depth proficiency in the application of theory and analytical techniques to creative costing and pricing solutions. Plans, organizes and directs team activities to develop and support pricing structure, charges and service provisions of standard tariffs, product platforms, pilot programs, special contracts and other pricing initiatives depending on assigned function. In conjunction with the Director of Contracts & Analysis (C&A), consults and educates other business unit staff in the interrelationships between cost drivers and revenues. Manages the technical staff in the preparation and support of analytical studies. May serve as technical expert for the company in the area of regulated pricing, depending on assigned function.Job DescriptionESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:Directs the division work activities to perform specific, unique and/or highly specialized areas of regulated costing and pricing tasks; promotes professionalism and standards, influencing the direction of thinking through the organizational unit as a recognized authority.Develops and implements plans by establishing measurable goals, objectives and requirements relative to regulated costing and pricing responsibilities; addresses company system-wide issues within specialized field of expertise; reviews planned work of others; oversees process teams and monitors timely completion of special projects.Demonstrates highest level of problem-solving skills in area of specialization; identifies, clarifies, resolves and initiate solutions to specialized problems that sometimes involve analysis of inadequate or conflicting data; develops opportunities, new ideas and approaches that have system-wide impact; ensures the development and application of costing and pricing principles are applied consistently for all regulatory jurisdictions.Directs the preparation and presentation of complex regulatory subjects in a clear, concise and effective manner to management, other business units, customers and/or regulatory bodies; effectively utilizes the network channels within the company, other companies, professional organizations and regulatory agencies.Builds teams and networks that extend through the company, other companies, professional organizations and regulatory agencies; using a comprehensive knowledge of different disciplines network channels, internal and external to the company; builds relationships to get things accomplished.Utilizes comprehensive knowledge and authority to make and be held accountable for complex decisions based on calculated risk; understands the impact of the decisions made on other organizational units internal and external of the company; possesses the knowledge to defend decisions that are made in the interest of the company; demonstrates the ability to extrapolate beyond facts to reach a logical conclusion.Develops the organizational operating budget and is held accountable for meeting the financial goals and objectives.Prepare and file regulatory testimony preferred.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Education:Bachelor's degree in engineering, accounting, finance, management or other business-related field.Work Experience:Minimum of 8 years of electric utility experience with emphasis on one or more of the following -utility accounting and applications, rates, tariff development and application, commercial operations, management, and/or other pertinent experience.Physical demand level is Sedentary.#LI-HYBRID#SWEPCO#AEPCareersCompensation DataCompensation Grade:SP20-010Compensation Range:$129,963.00-168,952.00 USDHear about it first!
