POSITION TITLE:

Store Manager

DEPARTMENT:

POSITION PURPOSE AND EXPECTATION:

To provide superior customer service and maximise sales opportunities by enhancing promotional offers and participating in all store duties as directed

RELATIONSHIPS:

INTERNAL:

  • Support Office and other store locations

EXTERNAL:

  • Customers

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Achieve personal sales and coordinate targets as determined by Store Manager
  • Identify all opportunities
  • Advise Customers of promotional offers
  • Be aware of potential theft risks to minimise external/internal theft
  • Comply with loss prevention policies and procedures and participate in store shrinkage control methods
  • Participate in store stock-takes as directed
  • Ensure all cash is secured and clearances of the register are done regularly

Customer Service

  • Consideration in all actions
  • Communicate effectively with all internal/external customers
  • Welcome customers upon entry to store
  • Inform customers of in-store promotions and be stock knowledgeable
  • Encourage coordinate/add on sales
  • Thank and farewell customers
  • Exceeding customers’ expectations at all times
  • Handle customer complaints to customer satisfaction and direct complaint letters to General Manager.
  • Build customer list significantly each month
  • Maintain stock on floor by straightening, folding, and tidying as required
  • Maintain promotional areas to create impact at all times
  • General daily tasks may include lifting, carrying, bending and/or climbingDevelop and maintain

Stock

  • Unpack, refill, replenish stock on floor as required and directed
  • Adhere to all stock receiving, transfer, dispatch procedures
  • Attempt to accommodate customer orders/requests
  • General daily tasks may require standing for long periods to process stock

Administration

  • Complete administration procedures as required
  • Adhere to required banking procedures as per Loss Prevention policies

Store Presentation

  • Store is kept clean and tidy at all times
  • Windows, fittings, fixtures, mirrors, floors are kept clean and dust free

Personal Presentation

  • Ensure current season clothing is worn during work hours if possible
  • Personal presentation reflects high standards at all times

Additional Duties

  • Undertaking additional duties as directed by Store Manager

  • Promotional offers are implemented as directed

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous retail or hospitality experience preferred

  • Strong sales ability and a proven track record in achieving sales targets
  • Strong customer orientation and focus
  • Outgoing personality to interact with customers
  • Initiative to deal with minor problems and find solutions utilising resources available
