Job Description

PRIMARY PURPOSE

1. Have a strong understanding with Software Development, *nix & Networking Technologies.
2. The ideal candidate will have past experience working as a systems engineer & enjoys keeping technical skills reasonably current, to the point that he/she can still contribute to architecture discussions.
3. The candidate regularly would take part in deep-dive troubleshooting exercises and drive technical post-mortem discussions to identify the root cause of complex issues.
4. Have strong project & systems engineering experience.
5. The successful candidate will collaborate to create technology roadmaps with the team.
6. This will include helping innovate and invent new value-add services layered on top of our existing services.

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

1. Experience with *nix systems (Unix / Linux admin knowledge)
2. Scripting experience in Unix / Linux & WLST
3. Experience with system data & analytics
4. Knowledge of Network fundamentals (including diagnostics with Unix / Linux tools)
5. Ability to architect technology solutions & guide on system performance, sizing etc.
6. Understanding of Application Performance Management tools
7. Knowledge of Load Balancers (Big IP F5 – LTM, GTM, ASM etc.) is a plus
8. Excellent verbal communication skills
9. Collaborative & team focus
10. A strong technical foundation in build, release and environments
11. Eagerness to learn enough about whatever tools & tricks are needed to get the job done
12. Ability to occasionally work off-hours / weekends

Minimum Qualifications/Must Have:

1. 8+ years of Technical Experience in J2EE Application Servers and Webservers
2. 8+ years of experience with *nix systems
3. Experience with Unix / Linux scripting
4. Familiar with concepts of Networking & Load Balancing
5. Excellent Communications & analytical skills
