Job Summary

The AV Blueprint Software Engineer is responsible for contributing to the development of all aspects of the AV Blueprint configurator product. They will be expected to collaborate with the AV Blueprint Product Owner on creative and strategic decisions, propose methods and ideas for improvement, and be willing to learn new skills as necessary for ongoing development. The Software Engineer is expected to take initiative to work, learn, and make creative decisions on tasks independently.

The person in this role is expected to contribute creatively and technically on the product to ensure that it aligns with the overall vision and strategy developed by the Product Owner. While the Product Owner defines the roadmap for the product, software engineers are encouraged to contribute to this decision-making process.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Break down product stories into task and subtasks (using Jira)
  • Complete development tasks such as:
    • CPQ programming
    • CRM database modification and improvement
    • Creation or sourcing of UI elements / graphics
    • Creation or sourcing of body copy or other information
  • Collaborate with other Cenero developers & engineers on completion of some tasks
  • Provide training and support as needed for users of product
  • Assist Product Owner in outlining roadmap
  • Update Jira environment continually for roadmap tracking
  • Remain informed of relevant advances in audio/visual technology and be able to identify areas of use within the confines of software initiatives
  • Periodically interview and conduct sessions with users to gather feedback
  • Independently manage time and resources to achieve on-time completion of tasks and initiatives
  • Develop and drive a culture of quality, ownership, and exceptional performance maintaining Cenero’s Core Values
  • Other duties assigned as necessary

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related technical discipline
  • Experience with HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap preferred
  • Experience with Angular, React or Vue preferred
  • Experience working with C#, ASP.NET, MVC and Web Services preferred
  • Experience working with .NET Core preferred
  • Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON preferred
  • Experience with code versioning tools such as Git preferred

Skills:

  • Ability to troubleshoot, solve problems and analyze code of varying languages
  • Highly detail-oriented and strong organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), with the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Technical understanding of audiovisual systems design, installation, and configuration including both hardware and software
  • Proven ability to significantly contribute toward or lead operation initiatives
  • Strong problem-solving skills and creative thinking to ensure success of objectives, whether project, process, or personnel related
  • Ability to work and think independently and compile quantitative data for review
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other related software

Work Environment:

The work environment for this position is primarily remote. This position may include occasional travel to other environments including Cenero offices, educational buildings, corporate office buildings, government locations, and construction sites.
